Neutral Ground

A popular game and hobby store in Manhattan on West 37th, it is a Mecca for gaming enthusiasts and hobbyists the world over. Although the store itself is fairly innocuous, it attracts a lot of attention from the spirit world due to the fact that its patrons tend to regularly include more than its share, per capita, of spiritually sensitive youths.

Because of this, the recently dead flock to the place like moths to a flame, hoping to catch the eye of some sullen darkling who might be willing to impart a few last words to their loved ones on their behalf.

It’s also a favorite hangout for Unit 17 Members Grant Adams and Amanda Cliffport. Amanda tends to hang out there because she likes making contact with the newly dead and helping them “get on their feet”, whereas Grant is an avid gamer who often uses Neutral Ground as the battlefield on which his heated rivalry with Unit 9’s Trevor Bartfield play out by way of Magic: The Gathering matches.
